Mr. McCann is an associate attorney at VCM with a focus on first and third-party property matters.

Before joining our team, Mr. McCann served as primary law clerk to a full-service boutique firm specializing in commercial, consumer, and business litigation while attending Florida International University College of Law. Under the close supervision of one of the firm’s partners, he worked on cases at all stages of litigation—including several appeals. Consequently, for more than a year Mr. McCann gained insight and hands-on experience alongside his academics through involvement with cases covering business and commercial torts, condominium and homeowner’s association issues, construction and real estate development disputes, creditors’ rights, corporate shareholder rights, and more.

Mr. McCann went on to graduate in the top-20 of his class, take & pass the Florida Bar Exam, and begin his career as a litigation associate at another boutique firm. There, he concentrated his practice on general civil litigation handling cases, state and federal, on behalf of plaintiffs and defendants. With his caseload covering an array of legal issues, Mr. McCann litigated on behalf of several large government entity defendants in suits both straightforward (e.g., car accident or trip-and-fall negligence actions) to others as nuanced as a multi-party medical malpractice lawsuit implicating constitutional, federal law, and sovereign immunity considerations. Similarly, he navigated plaintiffs through complex litigation cases—such as litigation surrounding a high-level corporate transaction covering multiple lawsuits spanning several states with claims/counterclaims in the tens of millions.

Now, Mr. McCann couples his background in real estate, construction, and property development with his academic and professional experience to represent each VCM client to their fullest.
